Let’s Work Together!

My Services

Professional Development

As teachers, we commit to being lifelong learners. I offer workshops tailored to your specific needs, both in person and virtually. Formats can include presentation, inquiry work, informal conversations around a literacy topic, or any other structures to meet your needs.

Instructional Coaching

Supporting teachers in their work with children is key to any professional development. Instructional coaching can be designed to support individual teachers or entire schools, and may include instructional planning, analyzing data, selecting resources and more.

Remote Learning

Remote Learning is providing new opportunities and new challenges for children, teachers and families. I provide support services to teachers, schools, family and children to help make the remote learning experience positive, engaging and meaningful.

Family Literacy

Families are key to a child’s literacy development. I help families develop a culture of reading at home by providing resources, supporting children’s individual learning or helping caregivers to better support their children as they grow and learn.

“When I really take the time to think about teaching literacy and

how the very definition of literacy has evolved, I realize that there are so many opportunities in front of us.”

What People Are Saying

“Frank Sibberson created an intimate learning community and established a trusting presence  from the onset of her time with us. Franki modeled concrete  strategies. She shared  current books and resources that were grounded in educational  research. Franki delivered content through a hands on approach to learning.  She engaged teachers by having them read,  do, and share. Our teachers would welcome Franki back any time to work with us and guide our learning!”

“Albuquerque Public Schools is committed to ongoing reading professional development for classroom teachers and reading interventionists as they strive to meet the needs of their diverse learners. As a very large urban/rural district, how could we connect with national experts to offer quality PD to our cohort?  Franki Sibberson was our answer!  As our Keynote Speaker and Workshop Leader, during our APS Title I Elementary Summer Reading Institute, we learned from her deep knowledge of the reading process, her rich classroom experiences with diverse learners, and her professional expertise as past president of NCTE.  Franki modeled a wealth of reading strategies, shared ideas for appropriate assessments and data analysis, explained ways to plan research-based instruction, and shared her love of children's literature and expert authors.  Overwhelmingly, our teachers and reading interventionists, shared their new learning at their school sites and implemented strategies with students.  We were delighted with Franki's communication skills and her non-threatening way of encouraging teachers to be their best and to do what matters!  We invited Franki to return as the Keynote for the following year's Summer Institute! “

"Working with Franki Sibberson transformed our practice around reading instruction.  Not only did she illuminate intentional, best practices both for small group and whole class instruction, but she also provided valuable guidance that supported us in enabling our readers to become more metacognitive both in regards to comprehension as well as to truly know themselves as readers.  Franki's advice was practical and targeted.  We can't wait for our next session with her!”
